Career: Cake Decorator. I am a cake decorator in the bakery department at a grocery store in Saukville Wisconsin. I have worked at the store since it opened 8 years ago. I started off working in the Liquor Deparement but moved to the bakery within the first year. Then I started to be trained to be a cake decorator within the next year. My store does not make wedding cakes but we I do make a lot of birthday cakes. I love the creativity I have at my job and every day is different and fun.
Favorite Things: Spending my day off with Chris working on something on the farm. I am a serious fan of the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. I haven't missed more then 5 episodes in 11 years. I am getting into scrapbooking and card making. I dabble in a few other craft projects and want to learn to spin wool. We have 10 sheep on the farm now and everyone always asks if I spin the wool. Not yet but I do plan on it sometime. I also enjoy fixing up the house with Chris (we have a long way to go yet). Playing with our dogs Arlo (long haired dachshund) and Wylie (shetland sheepdog- tho he doesnt heard sheep). Talking and playing with our parrots Waldo (congo african grey) and Ava (blue fronted amazon). Helping Chris work on airplane parts and the drill is my favorite tool when working on the airplane. Chris sais that I will learn to love the rivet gun also. We love traveling. Our Honeymoon on Route 66 was so awesome, we followed it up with another (short) route 66 trip a little more then a year later (with a 3 day detour to Vegas for CES). Chris and I are thinking our next trip will be up to the north west part of the country. However I would love to go to Alaska or Hawaii.
Career: Instructional Technology Specialist at Moraine Park Technical College. I have been working there since December 2000, just before meeting Marnie online. I provide technical support for distance education systems and classroom instructional technology. I am also currently going to school part time to get my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
Favorite Things: I got my private pilot licence and I spend as much time as I can afford flying. I am building 2 airplanes - a Legal Eagle ultralight and a Mustang II. The Legal Eagle is only a single seater and I am hoping to have it done before EAA this summer. The second airplane has been a work in progress for a few years already. I am building it from plans with some help from Marnie. The plane is called a Mustang II and it will be a few more years until it is completed. You can track my progress on both planes at AirplanesAtHome.com. I love spending time with Marnie and the dogs and birds. Working on cars is another hobby I have. I restored a 1977 MG Midget that runs now and I drive it around in the summer months but still needs a few cosmetic touches. It needs a better paint job and a convertible top put on. I also enjoy photography. Marnie and I dabble in a little bit of wood working projects. We made some end tables and a huge bookcase. For the most part, Marnie does the design. I do the cutting and putting together, and Marnie does the finish work (staining sealing, etc). We make a good team.

The Video that loads on the first page is a time lapse video of all the work that went on in the shop in 2008. There is a better description of how this was done on that page.
